FAQ

You’ve got questions. Let’s find the answers together.

(In the meantime, here are some of the most common things you might be wondering.)

What services does Good Life, Good Death provide?

I offer death doula support and end-of-life coaching, pet therapy, notary public assistance, psychedelic preparation and integration, and coaching and mentorship for technical careers.

Where and how do you provide services?

I provide in-person services in and around Durham, NC. I provide virtual and asynchronous services globally. Virtual services include Zoom meetings, and asynchronous support can happen via email or text. (Please note that notary services must occur in person, and inside the state of North Carolina.)

What are your fees?

For most services, I work on a sliding scale. In many cases, financial concerns should not have to get in the way of a partnership. Let’s discuss your financial situation and see if we can find a way to work together. Notary services are provided at the cost of $10 per signature.

Can I combine services? For instance, can I get pet therapy along with notary services?

In almost all cases, yes! I aim to provide you with a set of services that make sense for your own wants and needs. Let’s talk about your situation and what feels right for you.

How do I know if you’re the right person to work with?

I might or might not be the right person to work with! This is an important relationship, and I want us both to feel safe and comfortable in it. If you think we might be a good fit, let’s schedule a free 30-minute consultation to discuss your situation.

Are you a safe space?

I try my best to be. I am unequivocally queer, trans, and poly positive, as well as neurodiversity affirming. I’m a quirky soul, and I tend to connect with other quirky souls. I’ve dedicated my life to self-discovery and growth, and I’m always trying to know better, so that I can do better.

Why would I want a death doula if I’m not dying?

Spoiler alert: We’re all dying — some of us are just doing it sooner than others! One of the best gifts you can give yourself and your loved ones is clarity about what you want for yourself at the end of your life. There’s no better time to start thinking about these questions than the present moment. And in the meantime, there’s no better way to have a good death than to live your life in a way that feels full and meaningful.
